Summary

An endearing story about discovering we all have a lion inside us no matter our size。 A mouse feels insignificant because of its size and feels it needs to roar like a lion to be brave。 Upon discovering that the lion was afraid of mice, the two strike up an unusual friendship and learn to appreciate each other for themselves。

An inspirational message with charming illustrations and well-paced rhyme。

(1 year 10 months) We love this book! It has fantastic characters and some lovely twists - all whilst telling a wonderful story with a strong moral。 We really like the illustrations and enjoy making the sounds of both the lion and mouse。

He began to wonder what would happen if he was less meek and more powerful。 He began to see that there would be positive results such as making new friends。 He decided to go and see the lion himself。 On his journey he learned that "if you want things to change, you first have to change YOU。" He finally found himself nose to nose with the mighty lion and asked the lion to teach him how to roar。 Do you know what happened? The lion was afraid of the mouse。 The lion doesn't like mice。 He's scared of him! The mouse eases the lion's fear by telling him that he only wants to be friends。 They began to learn from each other-one how to be more brave; the other learned how to not be so serious。 "That day they both learned that, no matter your size, we all have a mouse and a lion inside。Note: These characters don't have names besides "lion" and "mouse"。 A wonderful story to have a discussion on bravery, not judging what other people are like unless you actually meet them。 This will be important for shy students and starting a discussion on taking more initiative。 。。。more

A little mouse wants to be noticed and seeks help in finding his ‘roar’ from a lion。 This book is all about being yourself and having confidence that you are perfect just the way you are。

I have been wanting to read this book for a while now, and I finally sat down and read it today, and it not only met my expectations but went above them。 I adore Rachel Bright's writing from start to finish every book of hers I read。 This one carries an especially important message, no matter how small or insignificant we may feel, we all have a lion inside us, and we all can be brave and achieve what we want to achieve。 I have been wanting to read this book for a while now, and I finally sat down and read it today, and it not only met my expectations but went above them。 I adore Rachel Bright's writing from start to finish every book of hers I read。 This one carries an especially important message, no matter how small or insignificant we may feel, we all have a lion inside us, and we all can be brave and achieve what we want to achieve。 。。。more
